Dick is the Founder of Kensington Investment Counsel (K.I.C.). He embarked on his investment management career in 1969 following his service as a Naval Aviator in Vietnam. Over the years, Dick has held various positions in investment research, portfolio management, and supervision of others in similar roles. From 1990 to 1994, he worked at Security Pacific Investment Managers, B.A. Capital Management, and Pacific Investment Advisors, serving as C.E.O. until 1993.
In January 1994, Dick founded K.I.C. in Long Beach, CA. Although he is now partially retired, he provides investment strategy and financial advice to K.I.C. Dick is a graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara, where he earned a B.S. in Economics in 1966. He resides in Santa Barbara, California.
